Natalie Allison

Two Elon University students joined our staff as interns for the spring semester.

One is Natalie Allison who grew up here in Alamance County and is a junior at Elon. She’s currently serving as managing editor of The Pendulum, the student newspaper. She’s a longtime Times-News reader, which isn’t the norm for our Elon interns. Usually they arrive at Elon from all points across the nation and learn about our community over their four years in school.

Mary Yost

Mary Yost, a senior from Maryland, will spend her final Elon semester writing stories for the Times-News. I met Mary in the fall of 2010 when she was a student in professor Glenn Scott’s reporting class. She has a keen interest in social issues.

We welcome them both.

I would also like to take this opportunity to thank Derek Wickham for his time here as an intern. Derek, also from Maryland, spent the short winter term writing stories for the Times-News.
