Jay Ashley’s daily drawings from our afternoon budget meetings are often topical. On Thursday we spent a couple of minutes with sports editor Bob Sutton discussing the rather bizarre story about LeBron James and the suddenly stolen tape of an unknown player dunking on the young would-be king of the NBA.

So this is what Jay came up with out of those short riffs.

And by the way, no player of such unheralded stature would’ve dunked on Michael Jordan in his prime in a pickup game or anytime– which is perhaps the difference between the old and new kings. Jordan woulda fouled the hell out of the guy and started a brawl before something like that would ever happen.
